Sunday was the debut of my "Cath Kidston" outfit. Thanks to everyone who showed interest in seeing the finished result. It really gingered me to make it happen. It has a loose, cropped top with bell sleeves, paired with a high-waisted, gathered skirt.

I can't lie, I was feeling myself on the way to church. I was really proud of my work. As we were walking towards the entrance, I saw three women clad in white garments, coming from a celestial church somewhere. The first two were old, mature looking ladies. The last was much younger and as she passed me, she called "Fine babe!". I turned back in shock and then decided to take the compliment with a pinch of salt.

After the service, hubby helped me to take photos. From there I went to the Cocktails and Dresses event at Intercontinental Hotel. It was very cool, I'll write about that later. I had plenty of time to go through the pics and choose which to post online. At first I thought it would be easy with so many to choose from. But as I dissected each photograph I saw more and more things I would change about my clothes. By the end of it I didn't want to post again!

That evening, I mentioned it to hubby. He just chuckled. "That's the difference between men and women. You second guess yourselves too much. Didn't you even have a stranger compliment you? The design is fine, but there's always room for improvement."

I smiled. It's true. It might not be the best, but it's mine. We should take pride in our work, knowing that we are on a journey.

So, what do you think? How does it compare to the original design? What could I do different next time?
